superalloys

Superalloy refers to a class of metal materials based on iron, nickel and cobalt, which can work for a long time under the action of high temperature above 600 ℃ and certain stress; and has high high temperature strength, good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, Good fatigue properties, fracture toughness and other comprehensive properties. The superalloy is a single austenite structure, which has good structure stability and service reliability at various temperatures.

Based on the above performance characteristics, and the high degree of alloying of superalloys, also known as "super alloys", is an important material widely used in aviation, aerospace, petroleum, chemical, and ships.

superalloys

According to the matrix elements, superalloys are divided into iron-based, nickel-based, cobalt-based and other superalloys. The operating temperature of iron-based superalloys can only reach 750~780 °C. For heat-resistant parts used at higher temperatures, nickel-based and refractory metal-based alloys are used. Nickel-based superalloys occupy a special and important position in the entire field of superalloys, and are widely used to manufacture the hottest parts of aviation jet engines and various industrial gas turbines.

                                  Features

Nickel-Based Superalloys

It is an alloy with nickel as the matrix, which is the most stable material in high temperature oxidation resistance. Typical grades are GH4033, GH4169, K403 and so on. Nickel-based superalloys have poor machinability

Iron-based superalloys

It is an alloy based on iron or iron-nickel, which is also called iron-nickel-based superalloy. However, due to its low nickel content and relatively cheap price, it is widely used. Typical grades are GH2036, GH2135 and so on. The machinability of iron-based superalloys is better than that of nickel-based or drill-based superalloys, and is similar to austenitic stainless steels.

Cobalt-Based Superalloys

It is an alloy based on cobalt, which is characterized by high high temperature strength and can withstand temperatures above 1000 ° C. Typical grades are K640 and so on. The machinability of drill-based superalloys is slightly better than that of iron-based superalloys.

For the difficult-to-machine materials such as superalloy, our grades are AS10, AS12UF,AS8UF, which are suitable for processing high-alloy steel, low-alloy steel, cast iron, high-speed milling, and mold manufacturing.
