1. Application:
Rifling, the final step in barrel blank manufacturing, is performed on servo-driven rifling machines using a cold forming process to press in precision rifle grooves, resulting in extremely accurate blanks ready to be turned and finished into barrels.
This broaching machine adopts external removing Chip method.
This machine is suitable for column material,the workpiece is fixed and the tool is rotated to feed.

3. Description of workpiece processing
(1) Install the workpiece to the dedicated chucks;
(2) Install the cutting tool to the tool holder;
(4)Open the cooling system;
(5)During machining, the tool feed is rotated by the system at a certain angle.
(6)Z axis feeding system drives the cutting tool to feed;
(7)When processing to a certain place, the cutting tool is adjusted to a certain height by the back-driving system;
(8)Z-axis driving system drives the cutting tool to back off, at the meantime, the cutting tool rotates with its angle, to complete a procession.
(9)The cutting tool returns to the most front of the workpiece with its original route, then the cutting tool rotates a certain angle.
(10)Repeat steps(5)--(9), and finish the whole procession of the workpiece.
4. Main features of the broaching machine;
(1) This machine adopts the broaching machine techniques, and to keep theaccuracy and surface roughness by many times chip-pulling.
(2)The machine bed and tank are made by robust cast steel.
(3) The machine tool has three servo axes.
Z-axis driven tool feed, C-axis driven tool adjustment, X-axis driven tool rotation.
(4) The guide rail for tool movement (Z-axis) adopts rolling linear guide, the tool automatically opens and opens (C axis) is precisely adjusted with AC servo motor, and the tool indexing (X axis) is connected to the precision reducer with AC servo motor to complete the indexing rotation function.
(5)The machine is equipped with special cooling system, which provides enough lubrication and cutting oil for the hole processing;
The cooling pump complete kit: to produce the cooling oil flow and supply oil for the cutting tool;
(6) The feed of the cutting tool is realized by the driving of servo motor to the ball screw;
(7) The machine tool has overload protection, stroke protection and other functions.
(8) This machine is computer controlled, with high automation,easy operation, high precision, high accuracy, and reliable;
(9) The main engine uses the whole protection structure;
(10) The connection of the cutting tool and spindle uses spring hole, easy and simple;
(11) The CNC operating board is equipped on the machine bed; the cutting tool adjustment parts are installed near the operating board;
(12) The chip box is installed behind the machine bed;

6. Main parts function and structure:
This machine is composed by: machine bed, tool holders, workpiece holders, cutting tool adjustment device, pull rod bracket, feed system, cooling system, electric control system, chip conveyor, protective device. The general description of the components are:
6.1 Bed body and operation board:
The machine bed and tank are made by robust cast steel; the guide rail is high precision linear guide rail; x-axis feed system is driven by ball screw;
6.2 Cutting tool holding device:
The cutting tool holding device is single spindle structure; drilling pipe box is robust cast iron; Cutting tool is fast changed by the quick change chuck.
6.3workpiece holding device:
This part adopts a double chuck structure, which greatly reduces the workpiece bending caused by the deformation of the workpiece;
6.4 Cutting oil cooling and filtering system: This system is to provide clean cutting oil.
6.5 Feed system
The feed of the cutting tool is realized by the transmission of the ball screw, and drives the cutting tool holing device to make the tool move vertically.
6.6 Pulling rod bracket:
The bracket is fixed on the sliding rail, and its function is to absorb the shock.
6.10 Automatic lubricant system:
The front and rear bearing, the surface of the slide rail, and ball screw nut are all automatically lubricated time and measurable.
